Champaign Fire Department promotes veteran firefighter to Deputy Chief

Champaign, IL – The Champaign Fire Department announced the promotion of Battalion Chief Chris Zaremba to the rank of Deputy Chief.

According to the department, Zaremba has served with the fire department for 26 years and brings decades of experience to his new leadership role.

Officials said the promotion reflects his long-standing service and commitment to the department and the community.
