Toledo, Ohio – The city of Toledo is grieving the tragic loss of Bob McClure, a devoted father, grandfather, and community volunteer. McClure, 55, was killed on May 2 in a motorcycle accident involving a city vehicle. Known for his boundless generosity, McClure was a familiar face in the community, particularly for his selfless tradition of clearing snow in the winter for disabled veterans—an act he performed free of charge for years.
McClure’s death has left a profound impact on his family and the community. He leaves behind his wife, four children, and twelve grandchildren. His stepdaughter, Meagan Thrush, shared how her family continues to be inspired by his giving nature.
“He’s always been there for us. I miss him and I love him. It’s just hard right now,” said Wendy Dodge-McClure, McClure’s wife, her voice filled with emotion.
