Toledo Man Dies After Early Morning Shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio — A man was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning, January 12, 2025, in Toledo. Authorities say the victim, 38-year-old Markies Turner, was shot on Hazelhurst Avenue around 1:00 a.m.

Turner was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Toledo Police Department is actively investigating the incident, though no suspects have been identified at this time.
