Paula Drive to close for asphalt milling and construction in March

Champaign, IL – Stark Excavating will begin milling asphalt pavement on Paula Drive between Honeysuckle Lane and Larkspur Lane starting Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Access to properties will generally be maintained, though equipment may occasionally block driveways during the daytime.
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2026, Paula Drive will be closed to all vehicular traffic between Honeysuckle Lane and Larkspur Lane.
Driveway access will be removed during the closure, but pedestrian access to homes will remain. Residents are advised they may park on available street areas outside the construction zone.
The closure is expected to last six to eight weeks, weather permitting. Officials said additional lane or road closures may be announced as the project progresses.
