Whether someone wants to be notified when an offender is within a half-mile or a several-mile radius, the system is customizable to suit individual preferences.

“Once you’ve set up the geo-fence, you’ll get an email notification whenever someone new registers near your location,” Sheriff Miller explained. “It’s a simple but effective way for people to stay informed about their surroundings.”

The notification service has already attracted attention from local residents, with over 10% of Fulton County’s population having signed up for the alerts. This proactive approach to community safety has helped residents feel more secure by providing them with the tools to stay informed about offenders who have served their sentences and are now living in the area.
