Champaign Police to join community for Trunk-or-Treat events ahead of Halloween

Champaign, IL – As fall temperatures settle in, the Champaign Police Department announced plans to participate in several Trunk-or-Treat events leading up to Halloween. Officers will join local organizations, neighborhood groups, and school PTAs to provide safe, family-friendly festivities for the community.

Public Trunk-or-Treat events scheduled for this week include:

  • Friday, Oct. 24, 2–5 p.m. – Rosecrance Trunk-or-Treat, 801 N. Walnut

  • Friday, Oct. 24, 5–7 p.m. – AAA Trunk-or-Treat, 410 W. Town Center

  • Sunday, Oct. 26, 3–5 p.m. – CU Community Sponsors Trunk-or-Treat, Parkland College, 2400 W. Bradley Ave.

  • Sunday, Oct. 26, 5–6 p.m. – First United Methodist Trunk-or-Treat, 210 W. Church St.

The department invited families to bring their “ghouls and goblins” to join in the fun and reminded residents that official Trick-or-Treating hours for 2025 are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
