Champaign Police Department participates in scouting merit badge event

Champaign, IL – Officers and staff from the Champaign Police Department joined Scouting America Troop 9 for a day of Merit Badge presentations at Holy Cross School.

Students attended sessions on topics including crime prevention, traffic safety, and fingerprinting, gaining hands-on experience and learning important safety skills.

Officials said the event provided a valuable opportunity for the police department to engage with youth and support educational programs that encourage responsibility and community awareness.
