Champaign Fire Department opens registration for Spring 2026 Fire Academy

Champaign, IL – The City of Champaign Fire Department announced that the Spring 2026 session of the Champaign Fire Academy will run from April 6 to June 5, 2026, with a few spots still available for interested students.
The nine-week residential program offers training in Basic Operations Firefighter, Advanced Technician Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Operations, and Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue. Tuition is $7,500 per student.
