After a trooper struck, the 465 was shut down on the northwest side

Indianapolis, Indiana – After a trooper was hit early Sunday morning on the northwest side of I-465 southbound, the highway was closed to traffic.

According to the ISP, they were dispatched to the scene of a collision on 465 between West 56th Street and West 46th Street.

The vehicle of a trooper who was responding to that accident was struck by a person who is suspected of being intoxicated behind the wheel.

The soldier did not sustain any injuries.

The INDOT website states that the highway reopened at approximately ten in the morning.
