Champaign police investigate shooting that injured 15-year-old

Champaign, IL – The Champaign Police Department is investigating a late-morning shooting that left a 15-year-old injured. Officers were initially dispatched to the 1500 block of N. Mattis Avenue, where they located the victim and provided emergency medical aid.

A short time later, investigators identified a scene with evidence of gunfire near the intersection of Winston Drive and Summit Ridge Road.
